The Analysis Page allows to group results by country and, in addition, by any number of categorical variables from the Variables box. In the results window, each grouping will have a separate header that specifies a unique combination of by-variable values. For example, the header Combination(sector, size)=='Manufacturing*Large' denotes the subset of large manufacturing companies.

Procedure

To group results by country simply check in the Country box. To add another by-variable select a categorical variable in the Variables box and click on the button. The variable will appear in the By Category box. If you wish to have additional levels of aggregation, select and place in the Variables box other categorical variables from the Variables box.

To use in analysis the records of only one such a subset, select a header of a subset and right-click on your selection. Choose "Copy" from the pop-up menu. Your selection will be copied to the clipboard. Then, right-click in the Select records box and choose "Paste" from the pop-up menu. The selected header will appear in the Select records box and will serve as the logical expression specifying a subset of observations to be used.

Example

If the Country box is checked and you add the variables sector and size in the By Category box your results will be grouped by sector and size within each country, as shown in the sample output below.
